Frequently Asked Questions
Numberator FAQ
What do you mean by “guaranteed unique” ?
When we say “guaranteed unique”, we mean that the code generation engine will guarantee that no two codes generated will be the same within a single code set.
For example, if you specify 1000 codes to be generated, then every single code will be unique within that 1000. But if you specify 500 codes as a set, and then generate another set of 500 then there is a possibility of duplicate codes appearing in the second set that were in the first set. However the statistical likelihood is significantly reduced for longer more complex codes, than it would be for short 4-digit codes.
How many codes can I generate at a time?
Numberator allows you to generate up to 10 million codes in a single code set. The minimum number of codes within a single code set is 100. Each code generated will use 1 credit from your account balance.
What is the maximum code length I can generate?
You can generate codes between 4 and 24 characters in length. If you want to use the powerful code formatting feature, the total length is 40 characters including the generated characters and additional characters in the formatting pattern.
How quickly do I get my codes?
The system is fully automated and as soon as you submit your code request, they are placed on Numberator’s job queue for processing as soon as possible. Typically, a set of 10 million complex codes can be generated and ready for download within a couple of minutes, even at busy times.
Your dashboard tells you when your codes are ready to download. If you find that your codes are taking longer than they should to generate (e.g. more than a few minutes), then please contact us through our help desk and we will investigate for you.
I’ve lost my Magic Link, what can I do?
If you can’t find your Magic Link, don’t worry – just click Numberator App on the top menu bar. If you’re not already logged in you will be taken to a Login page. Enter the email address you originally signed up with and click Send Magic Link. You’ll then be sent a new Magic Link to access your account.
What is the Profanity Filter?
Numberator’s built-in Profanity Filter ensures that offensive, inappropriate and swear words don’t inadvertantly appear within the codes that are generated. The filter contains a comprehensive list of UK English profanities – most of which are way too rude and inappropriate to include here! Just be confident that Numberator’s code generation engine has a very comprehensive list.
